In 2010, Schrader launched it's first iterations (315 MHz and 433 MHz) of EZ-sensor, the automotive industry's first patented and programmable OEM-replacement TPMS sensor that is fully-programmable to function across diverse car makes and models. In 2015, Schrader has launched it's latest EZ-sensor, combining the 314.9MHz, 315MHz and 433MHz applications all into one EZ-sensor. Created through a strategic alliance between Schrader and Bartec, one of the world's most respected names in TPMS tool technology, EZ-sensor helps aftermarket retailers eliminate lost sales, simplify TPMS repairs, and dramatically improve fill rates. EZ-sensor uses patented Schrader technology to deliver a programmable sensor that requires only a single programming tool - a tool that most service and repair facilities already use today. Currently, there are more than 200 SKUs of tire sensors fitted to North American vehicles equipped with TPMS. For aftermarket distributors and retailers, this can mean money tied up in inventory for sensors that are rarely used, or time lost in the service bay while waiting for the right sensor to be delivered. Schrader's EZ-sensor design enables this single EZ-sensor to cover more than 90 percent of TPMS-enabled vehicles in North America, supporting a diverse set of global vehicle platforms. As the EZ-sensor is compatible with all required TPMS installation, re-learn, and verification functions, installation requires only the EZ-sensor itself and a single programming/scan tool. EZ-sensor also features Schrader's patented snap-in TPMS valve and programming technology, to help minimize installation time.
